Take the No Guns = No Money ChallengeWe've launched a new Facebook page: This new page isn't really anything new to us, since we've been promoting support of businesses that allow lawful carry - and avoiding those that don't - as part of our mission for years. However, we're really happy to see that there's a national movement gaining traction to get 2A supporters and gun owners cohesive on this message. We have the ability to wield great power and influence businesses with the power of our wallets and discretionary dollars. Make sure you're spending your money with businesses that recognize state law and allow lawful carry or welcome it!
TAKE THE CHALLENGE!
My name is __________________ and I accept the No Guns = No Money: Minnesota challenge. I nominate all 180,000 plus Minnesota permit holders to do so, also. You have 24 hours or risk losing your rights!
>>> America's lawful gun owners and permit holders are not the cause of the 'gun violence' problem in America. In fact, we don't have a 'gun violence' problem, we have a Thug Violence problem. Per the FBI, the majority of gun crimes and violent crimes are either gang related or committed by gang members.
Lawful gun owners are being scapegoated and egregiously maligned by the gun control extremists as the cause of the problem. And, WE'RE NOT GONNA TAKE IT ANY MORE.

If you're going to put together an anti-bullying law, ALL victims and potential victims of bullying need to be included.
Time after time, especially in this last year, we've seen law abiding gun owners and their children become the target of the anti-rights bullies. These attacks and bullying tactics against law abiding gun owners and permit-to-carry holders have been ramping up at an alarming rate recently, and there's no doubt that the adults perpetrating this bullying are instilling that same bullying attitude in their children, who will no doubt be targeting their innocent classmates with similar harassment, attacks and bullying.
In light of the evidence I will post below, the language in the bill needs to be amended to include ALL of the potential targets of bullying, as follows:
Intimidating, threatening, abusive, or harassing conduct may involve, but is not limited to, conduct that is directed at a student or students based on a person's (or parent's) actual or perceived:
--Political affiliation (Conservative, Republican, Tea Party, etc)
--Membership or participation in various clubs or organizations (i.e. NRA, other gun rights orgs, gun clubs, etc.)
--Participation in various hobbies, lifestyles or competitions (i.e. shooting sports, hunting, target practice, etc.)
As we've publicly seen published in mainstream media, newspapers, YouTube and Twitter feeds, the anti-rights bullies make no secret about their instability and their desire for harm to come to law abiding citizens who happen to be gun owners:
--Donald Kaul in the Des Moines Register calling for the death of NRA members and for its supporters to be dragged behind pick up trucks, and for a perfectly legal and law abiding organization, the NRA, to be classified as a "terrorist organization. Link.
That's BULLYING.
--The Journal News published the addresses of legal, law abiding gun owners in their newspaper. They published the address of victims of violent crimes and victims of stalkers who'd purchased firearms to protect themselves. Link.
That's BULLYING.
--Anti-Gun Newspaper’s Gun Map Leads to Stalking of Domestic Violence Victims. Link.
That's BULLYING.
--A gun control proponent on YouTube calls for the murder of Michelle Bachmann: “I think we should shoot the bastards…. Especially Michele Bachmann. I think we should stick her up on a wall and put a bullet in her.” Link.
That's BULLYING.
--Texas Democratic Party Official Calls For Murder of NRA Members. Texas Democrat Party official John Cobarruvias issued multiple terrorist threats to begin hunting and killing people who voice support for legal gun ownership:
“Can we now shoot the #NRA and everyone who defends them?,” he wrote on Twitter, also writing on his blog, “They need to [be] wiped off the face of the earth.” Link.
That's BULLYING.
Liberals on Twitter call for murder of NRA members (Link):
@prisonforbush: "Someone should shoot this m*****f****r NRA President David Keene," added Michael Mayer. In at least two other tweets, "Mayer" suggested using Keene for "target practice."
@angrydemdotcom: “#GunControl will exist when some nutjob chooses to exercise their #2ndAmendment rights at #NRA headquarters…”
@90sRememberer: “Murder every NRA member”
@Arseburgers: “…Get every member of the NRA to stand in a circle, aim & shoot…”
That's BULLYING
Post-Newtown witch hunt: NRA president and members bombarded with death threats (Link):
That's BULLYING
Professor Calls for NRA Member’s Death By Firing Squad: May 30, 2013, WV Gazette. Link.

We've decided to start more closely tracking the financial impact that our 2nd Saturday meet ups have on local businesses. We specifically only plan meet ups at local eateries and coffee shops that are 2A "neutral" or "friendly" by allowing lawful carry (not posting "gun ban" signs).
After posting a brief recap of our last meet up on a local Patch website, the story was picked up nationally by AmmoLand and then by The Truth About Guns. From there the story was posted on numerous other websites, gun forums, Facebook and Twitter feeds.
We also received a follow up Tweet from Uncle Franky's following our most recent meet up at their Plymouth location.
It's estimated that our group spent at least $700 during our Jan. 11 visit to Uncle Franky's. (More pics: http://on.fb.me/1kJKWDr)

The City of Minneapolis Government again has its sights set on attacking your rights in 2014.I've been trying for weeks to obtain a copy of the proposed City of Minneapolis' 2014 Legislative Agenda, a document which should be public, but is curiously not linked on their website.
After having my request ignored by my own rep, Council Member Kevin Reich, I persisted in pulling several teeth to obtain the document from the City Clerk's office.
I found that they have again listed ALL of the firearms priority items from last year's legislative agenda, including a plan to lobby for the REPEAL OF STATE PREEMPTION - meaning they want individual cities to have the ability to regulate firearms, ammunition and legal carry through bans and oppressive restrictions - of course those limitations would only apply to law abiding citizens.
They would also like legislation allowing the revocation of a person's carry permit and/or firearm rights merely for any "mental health incident" involving the intervention of law enforcement (that is completely open to interpretation), not just for those adjudicated as prohibited. That means they want to strip you of your rights without benefit of charges, trial or conviction, merely for LEO "intervention."
They would also like legislation giving the City of Minneapolis (and all cities) the power to arbitrarily deny your carry permit application (reverting to "may issue"), among several other items (see pic).
These "firearms" lobbying items were again submitted by a City of Minneapolis employee, Melissa Lesch, who is the wife of anti-rights MN House Rep. John Lesch. It's wholly unseemly that we have an unelected city employee writing oppressive and infringing firearms recommendations to the legislature where her husband serves.
Contact the Minneapolis City Council members and tell them to stop attacking the rights of law abiding citizens, and focus on the REAL problems: Thug Control, Enforcement of existing laws, Proper charging and prosecution of criminals, End plea bargaining for violent offenders, Stop reducing and staying sentences of violent offenders.
Here's a link to contact info for all City Council members: http://www.ci.minneapolis.mn.us/council/index.htm
Also, not directly related to firearms legislation, but an item also on their legislative agenda that you should be concerned about and which impacts the safety of law abiding citizens (while the city wants you unarmed and defenseless), they have an agenda item to lobby for REQUIRED TAXPAYER FUNDED HOUSING FOR LEVEL 3 SEX OFFENDERS. In fact, that bill has already been filed in the legilature by North Minneapolis Rep. Joe Mullery (59A DFL).
Link to bill HF 2140: https://www.revisor.mn.gov/bills/text.php?number=HF2140&version=0&session=ls88&session_year=2014&session_number=0
**The picture below is a snippet of the proposed City of Minneapolis 2014 Legislative Agenda which is several pages long.
The agenda has not yet received a final vote and approval from the City Council. It will be coming up again for discussion and I'll keep you posted, but please contact members now.

It seems that the Star Tribune, in its always over-zealous attempt to be the obsequious lap dog to the state's gun grabbers, tried to start setting the scene for the 2014 legislative session and in doing so they inadvertently exposed a number of Minnesota cities that are in violation of state preemption on the right-to-carry law.
Thanks, Star Tribune, for foisting yourself on your own petard.
